Ganesh Bhattarai, born on September 1, 1976, in Indreni Pokhari VDC of Khotang District, is an accomplished professional and social worker. Since 2021, he has been serving as the Founding Secretary of the Continuous Blood Donation Center-Nepal (CBDC-Nepal), an organization established in Ward No. 5, Lagankhel, Lalitpur Metropolitan City, with a mission to promote blood donation and related initiatives. Currently residing in Ward No. 8, Lubhu, Mahalaxmi Municipality, Mr. Bhattarai is dedicated to creating digital platforms that unify and enhance blood donation efforts.
Between January 2004 and June 2012, he actively contributed to the disability sector as an officer, taking on significant responsibilities in the social domain. Since July 2012, Mr. Bhattarai has been working as an independent consultant specializing in community development, anthropology, and psychology. His expertise spans federal, provincial, and local government periodic planning, environmental studies, tourism planning, strategic development, and pre-feasibility, feasibility, impact assessments, and monitoring of various governmental and non-governmental projects.
Mr. Bhattarai has garnered extensive experience as a founding member and office-bearer of organizations like the General Public Welfare Society and the National Forum for Research and Social Workers. He is also a lifetime member of the Global Association for Humanities and Social Science Research (GAHSSR), affiliated with Global Research and Development Services, Lisbon, Portugal. Furthermore, he serves as an advisor to the Vegetable and Fruit District Association of Lalitpur.
Academically, Mr. Bhattarai completed his secondary education (SLC) in 2050 B.S. from Shri Bhagawati Secondary School in Khotang Bazaar and pursued postgraduate studies in anthropology. A firm believer in the supremacy of nature and the principle that social service transcends all religions, Mr. Bhattarai remains deeply committed to community service, contributing within his capacity to foster societal welfare.
